- ABOUT DR. GREGG
A third generation Californian, I am a product of a long family history of small town country doctors. This upbringing shaped my values that health care is a very personal experience that is very different for everyone. Placing oneself in the hands of another should be a relationship base on trust and mutual respect. Our office has always emphasized this concept of “personalized care”.

I graduated from UCLA School of Dentistry. My post-graduate education has included an intensive residency at UCLA Hospital, completion of a graduate program at The L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education and acceptance for Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD).
I have been married since 1974 to Alison who is a consultant in Human Resources. Our daughter Erin is a physician at LA County/USC University Hospital. She is married to Ryan, so is now Erin Newman. Our son Kevin is an attorney in San Diego. His bride is Allison – so there are now 2 Alison & Allison Greggs in our family.
I was very active in sports throughout youth and college competing in baseball, basketball and tennis. It was through athletics that I learned that it is the desire and determination to prepare to be your best that was the true measure of success.
Continuing education has always been essential in the preparation to be the best professional I am capable of becoming and to my ongoing commitment to excellence in dental care and personal leadership.
As such, I have discovered a new passion; teaching. I am currently on faculty at The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education (web link to WWW.Pankey.org) devoting 2-3 weeks each year to teaching post graduate dental programs. In other presentations my focus is on “The Gifts of Dentistry”; which includes success skills of lifestyle, balance and leadership as much as dentistry.
I am a member of several dental associations and study groups and am involved in over 100 hours of continuing education each year.
- WHAT DOES “FAGD” STAND FOR?
Those extra initials after my name stand for “Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry”. Less than 5 % of general dentists take the 500 hours of rigorous courses and the daylong qualifying examination to earn the degree. It is one of the accomplishments of which I am most proud.
Dr. Springer is a different kind of dentist. Her gentle approach and excellent clinical skills will make you and your family more comfortable than you ever thought possible.
Dr. Springer and her team provide some of the latest advances in dentistry, including one-hour in-office teeth whitening, digital radiography and extensive use of tooth-colored fillings.
An Orange County native and graduate of UCLA and the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, Dr. Springer is dedicated to post-doctoral study of dentistry. This focus allows her to provide you with a comprehensive and advanced approach to your dental health.
However, despite her clinical excellence, Dr. Springer’s most compelling feature is something that is all too rare in today’s rushed world… she listens. Your needs and concerns are her top priority and she is there specifically for you.

Our team is made up of a talented group of individuals who take pride in our profession. It makes a difference when people genuinely like people…when they genuinely love helping people…and when they are dedicated to excellence.
Our common goal is to assist Dr. Gregg in providing you with a unique experience in personalized dental care. We are always available to discuss any questions or concerns.
- Diana Rainforth – Registered Dental Hygienist. Diana began with Dr. G in 1982, recently celebrating her 30th anniversary. She is an avid surfer and scuba diver as well as having a second career as a lobster fisherperson.
- Leslie Nolan – Registered Dental Hygienist. Leslie has been in our office since 1987. She spends her time golfing and planning trips. She is married to John and has 2 grown sons, Nick and Shane.
Diana and Leslie’s expertise and interest in the latest developments in prevention of and supportive therapy for advanced gum disease assure you the best oral health possible
- Judy Blaker – Business Coordinator. Judy brings over 20 years experience in dental offices. You will find Judy answering the phone most of the time. She will also schedule your future appointments and is outstanding with financial arrangements and insurance questions. Judy has 2 daughters, Erica and. She loves gardening and the outdoors.
- Emily Gilmore – All-Around Indispensable Assistant. Emily is essential helping with so many “behind the scenes” details and business tasks. Her outside time is filled with a teenage son and a ferocious dog.
Liz Alejandro – Treatment Coordinator. Liz is responsible for helping Dr. Gregg in coordinating all your dental treatment and assuring your comfort during your visits. Her happy personality shines on us every day.

Kathy – Front Office Coordinator. Kathy has been in the dental field for over 20 years, and a part of our team since 1999. Her warmth and kindness will instantly put you at ease when you call or enter our office. She is also outstanding at helping with insurance questions and making financial arrangements for our patients. She and her husband Mike have lived in Mission Viejo since 1983. In her free time she enjoys long walks, going to the beach, and reading.
Kendra – Registered Dental Assistant. Kendra’s calm, friendly demeanor will soothe even the most nervous of patients and have them laughing in no time. Having worked in dentistry since 1996, she not only assists Dr. Springer but also answers a lot of your questions. Kendra grew up in Huntington Beach and now lives here in Laguna Niguel with her husband Craig and her 2 young sons. Kendra loves spending time at Disneyland with her family and watching her Chicago Bears.
Shannon – Registered Dental Hygienist. Shannon wins over her patients with a gentle touch and meticulous cleanings. She encourages and motivates her patients to maintain healthy smiles that will last a lifetime. A native of Fresno, Shannon lives in San Juan Capistrano with her husband Matt, her new baby daughter and their cats, Colby and Socks. Shannon likes spending her free time gardening, going to the beach, and restoring furniture.
Leia – Registered Dental Hygienist. Leia truly loves being a dental hygienist. She believes that a truly exceptional dental hygienist not only cleans teeth, but also builds long-term relationships with her patients that she can call her family. Leia gives every patient a thorough, detailed, and gentle cleaning. She provides her absolute full attention - specific to your needs – and education that will improve your oral health and keep gum disease away. Leia lives in San Clemente with her loving husband Kris and her 3 sons. She loves spending quality time with her family and hanging out at the park or beach with her boys.
